慈經 The Chant of Metta

•       《慈經》這部經典記載著當時佛陀在世的時候，對禪修的比丘們教導一個修禪者，應如何對於宇宙眾生慈愛與祝福的開示。

1.  

•    《慈经》是佛陀关于对一切众生无限慈爱的开示，这部经广为人知，在很多仪式中，都会诵念这部经。

缘起：     据记载，佛陀在世时，有群比丘在一座森林修行，受到了森林的精灵(他们大多数是树神)的困扰，导致他们无法好好禅修，最后，他们再也无法忍受时，便回到佛陀的住处，请求佛陀的帮助，佛陀透过神通眼观察后，对比丘们说：「比丘们，除了那里，没有更适合的处所了。你们必须回到原来的地方。」比丘们听了后便说：「回到原来的地方！这样仍然会受到树神的压迫，而无法禅修。佛陀，为什么您还要我们回那样的地方呢？」佛陀回答：「之前你们到那里，是没有带着武器的，现在我将给予你们武器。你们带着武器回到同样的地方，继续练习禅修，那里是唯一的处所。」

        佛陀给予他们的武器，就是无限爱心的修习法──慈心(Metta)。于是佛陀便为比丘们讲了这部经，比丘们在学习了慈心观的方法后，便返回森林，安心并顺利地禅修了。

功德：     藉由唱诵此经所散发的慈心而克服种种障碍。为他们自己找到宁静和安乐，也帮助其他人这样修习而获得快乐。
